Hello family!!!
After a long time in the wilderness we have finally got logged back on to the blogging world and boy have we missed alot of stuff going on.....dad's shed, Pauls virtual fairground tour, Lilsters diving fun, Sebs gorgeous photo, Mums gnome impression!!!
Well we have been v busy (mainly working) but interspersed with fun and frivolity along the way to keep our smiles going!!!!
Recent activities include.....
Looking after the banana plant after it finally showed some leaves (it's missing the sun, but still happy to be alive!)
Tending to the Fig tree (it was just a dead piece of stick 4 weeks ago and now it has gone mental....)
Going to liverpool to for Julia 65th Birthday barbeque

From left to right starting at the front of the picture ..Beatrice (aka B, Brians neice, John and Charlottes daughter), Jade, Charlotte (Brian Sister in Law, Johns wife) Milly (Brians other niece behind the coke bottle but almost invisable! John and Charloote daughter) John (Bris eldest brother), Bri, Dave (Bri's middle brother who lives in Sweden) and Julia (Bris mum)...

Me, baby Alicia (Bri;s neice, Daves snd Jennys daughter) Jenny (Daves wife) and Dave

Phew...think thats a photo of everyone that was there!

thats all folks....time to collapse after a big blog!!!!
Back to our garden........
Admiring the scottish fern (a gift from Mum and dad from years ago) that copied Lazarus (was very very dead looking and then..ta da!)
And most importantly and very excitingly I got a sparkly, twinkly stunning ring on my finger from Mr Grieves!! ....yipee hope you all approve and like the non-traditional ring....wanted Ruby after nan as Ruby signifies love, friendship, contentment and peace. Apparently when worn on the left hand provides protection.....
So without further ado, may I present my very special 18carat white gold, Diamond and Ruby engagement ring......not very easy to photograph but hope you get the idea! v sparkly and I love it!

thats all folks....time to collapse after a big blog!!!!
Massive love and hugs to you all, MAD fingers crossed the blustery weather buggers off, Tom, Mony and Seb stay away from the swine flu and don't work too hard, Lilli keep making mud soup - Dad love the taste and especillay likes the mess, PAul and Pet happy fairgrounding and Lubey thanks for the fish finger sandwiches and chit chat!!!
Bye for now xxxxx

What a wonderful return blog! Well done Ames, I really like your style of writing, makes me laugh!! Your latest pics are great, especially the in depth analysis of Bri's family, I have the feeling I know them all personally now! What a lovely ring...and what a lovely idea, Nan will be very pleased with you. We were all wondering when we might get some more info about the engagement, guess you have just been working way too hard. Congratulations you two, here in Germany we are all so happy for you both! Whats the timeline for a wedding? Have a great week, catch up soon...PPL xxxx
PS. Like your new dotty template!
Hello Wanderers - Welcome back to blogland. Yes, it may have taken a while to get there but an exceptionally interesting blog - worth waiting for. Bri - your banana is surely a top banana. Tnhink we might hide ours for a couple of years. I'd forgotten about the fig - amazing - maybe re-pot but they do like restricted roots so just one size bigger and/or train up a wall? The ring is just beautiful. And great to see Bri's family again. I think Julia should knock off ten years - 55 seems more appropriate to her looks. Well bye for now, love from us both (Dad still hasn't worked out how to publish a comment??!!) MAD xxxxx
Poor Dad! Will someone please give some extra lessons, it really cant be that difficult to click the phrase "Post a Comment". GO Dad GO!!

Yep, just added a reply, proud of Dad! See it was not that difficult...
Hello all, hope you will read this note as time has passed. Just to say THANKS to Amy for such a good post, well done Amy baby, know how hard it is when work mad. Glad all is well and hope to catch up before Christmas!! Love, Tom, Mony and Seb
Just a quick note to share our condolences with Brian, Newcastle, what went wrong???
Brian, congratulations for the ring!!
Hi Auntie Ames & Uncle Brian. Dad told me you are working very hard, hope you get some time for peace a quiet. School is going well and we have only two more letters in the alphabet. My favourite subject is still painting, but enjoy stories and reading too. I lost another tooth last week and the tooth fairy (Mira) left a present under my pillow. Off to the schooll music fest this morning and then for a swim with Dad. I also heard Brian had a sore tooth, hope its feeling better now. I have a dentist appointment next week, with injection...urrh. On my picture calander it says your birthday is on Monday, will give you a call. Going for some breakfast, Love Lilli
